CBAM CN codes by sector

All 572 CN codes in CBAM scope under Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2023/956, by sector, with default values for 122 countries of origin.

The 8 digits of a CN code

A CN code has 8 digits, and you read it from the left. The first 2 are the chapter: 72 is iron and steel. The first 4 are the heading: 7208 is hot-rolled flat steel 600 mm wide or more. The first 6 are the HS subheading, the same in every country that uses the Harmonized System. The last 2 are the EU's own split, so 7208 39 00 is hot-rolled coil under 3 mm thick. Your import declaration carries 10 digits, but CBAM scope stops at 8.

Annex I often names a whole heading, and the Commission publishes most default values at 4 or 6 digits. So each code page below takes the closest published row above it, for every country of origin.

cement

iron and steel
