About
About CBAM Data
CBAM scope, factors and certificate cost for any CN code, with the article behind each number.
Company
SASU R SOCIETY runs CBAM Data. It's registered in Paris under SIREN 903 169 381 (RCS Paris), at 15 rue des Halles in 75001 Paris.
It's built for customs and ERP software, brokers, and importers who file their own declaration.
The obligation
From 2026, an importer of iron, steel, aluminium, cement, fertilisers, electricity or hydrogen into the EU surrenders CBAM certificates for the emissions in the goods, under Reg (EU) 2023/956.
To price one import line you need the Annex I scope of the CN code, the default emissions for
the country of origin, the mark-up, the free allocation adjustment of Article 31 for the year and the Article 9
deduction for a carbon price paid at origin. One call to /v1/resolve returns all
of it.
Method
A TypeScript engine applies the regulation to a dated dataset. There's no language model in the path. The calculator, the API and the MCP server run the same engine, so the same inputs give the same answer on all 3. An answer carries:
- The CN code and its sector
- Direct and indirect emissions per tonne, in tCO2e
- The CBAM benchmark, the CBAM factor for the import year and the free allocation adjustment
- The Article 9 deduction, when you pass a carbon price paid at origin
- The certificate price and the period it belongs to
- A flag when the 50 tonne threshold of Article 2(3) may exempt you
- The legal source of each value and the dataset version
Sources
An ingest reads the Commission's CBAM pages and downloads, and the EUR-Lex texts they link to. It accepts no other host. A run writes a new dated dataset and a diff against the last one. The status page names the version in production.
