What CBAM costs on the 20 goods the EU imported most by weight in 2025, from each one's 3 largest suppliers. The figures price 1,000 t on the Commission's default values, at the 2026 Q3 certificate price of €82.32.

Urea, whether or not in aqueous solution, containing >45% nitrogen in relation to the weight of the dry product (excl. that in tablets or similar forms, or in packages with a gross weight of <= 10 kg, or in aqueous solution containing =>31,8% but <=55% by weight of urea)
Semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel, containing by weight < 0,25 of carbon, of rectangular "other than square" cross-section, the width measuring >= twice the thickness, rolled or obtained by continuous casting
Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of >= 600 mm, hot-rolled or cold-rolled "cold-reduced", not corrugated, plated or coated with zinc (excl. electrolytically plated or coated with zinc)
Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of >= 600 mm, in coils, simply hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated, of a thickness of < 3 mm, not pickled, without patterns in relief
Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of >= 600 mm, in coils, simply hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated, of a thickness of >= 3 mm but < 4,75 mm, not pickled, without patterns in relief
Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of >= 600 mm, in coils, simply hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated, of a thickness of >= 4,75 mm but < 10 mm, not pickled, without patterns in relief

Mineral or chemical fertilisers containing phosphorus and potassium, with a nitrogen content > 10 % by weight on the dry anhydrous product (excl. those in tablets or similar forms, or in packages with a gross weight of <= 10 kg)(2012-2500);Mineral or chemical fertilisers containing the three fertilising elements nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, containing > 10% nitrogen in relation to the weight of the dry product (excl. those in tablets or similar forms, or in packages with a gross weight of <= 10 kg)(1988-2010)
Structures and parts of structures of iron or steel, n.e.s. (excl. bridges and bridge-sections; towers; lattice masts; doors, windows and their frames and thresholds; equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping or pit-propping, and products made principally of sheet)
Ranking: extra-EU imports by weight in 2025, from Eurostat Comext DS-045409 (updated 16 October 2026). Origins are each code's 3 largest suppliers outside the EU, leaving out Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, where CBAM doesn't apply. Electricity is left out because Comext counts it in MWh.
Cost: the calculator's answer for 1,000 t. That's the default value from Reg (EU) 2026/1740 correcting Reg (EU) 2025/2621, Annex I, with the year's mark-up, less the free allocation adjustment on the Column B benchmark of Reg (EU) 2025/2620, rounded up to whole certificates at €82.32 (2026 Q3, published 5 October 2026). 2027 uses the same price, because no 2027 price exists yet.
